Dubai Hockey Club is a mixed gender, western styled club made up of both young (+ 16 years) and old, men and women spanning a wide range of skills and abilities. Our membership is truly international and we have members from over 15 different countries ranging from Australia to Zimbabwe.Established in September 2003,our membership is now 60+ members who enjoy organized practice sessions on a weekly basis, matches against local clubs as well as visiting teams and participation in various tournaments .We have twice a week scrimmage sessions at two local schools. The first an indoor sports hall and the other is a floodlit five a-side all weather pitch.Please refer to the training page for detailsMost Fridays we host 11 a side matches on astro-turf. These are a mix of competitive matches against local of visiting teams, league matches as well as intra-club social matches.We play in local tournaments and host many visiting teams from all the world.In April 2009, we hosted our inaugural Dubai Hockey Club 6's Invitational. This is a 6 on 6 tournament played on grass over the Easter weekend. It was a great success and we had over 10 teams from 3 countries playing in 2 tiers. We aim to make it an annual event and have already begun preparations for 2010.Dubai Hockey Club was among the teams chosen to participate in the inaugural U.A.E men's national league in 2006.
